Bio

The Chain Linked Skunks are composed of the following members:
Link – singer-song writer, guitarist
Pepe -Drums! & Percussion
Flora – Bass, Keys, Vox
PU Diddy – Exec. Producer/Video Director
5 Scent – Special Guest Raps
Link, originally from Rockville, had been playing in a band for several years. While Link was playing a gig one night in DC, Link was approached by Pepe, Pepe said with attitude: “I like you-, the band, not so much. You ought’a come play with me, we’ll start our own band, cause I’m a kick ass drummer and I got me some connections.” After playing countless, pointless gigs, and the band not taking Link’s songs so seriously, Link eventually warms up to the idea and hooks up with Pepe.
Pepe being from Baltimore, always had something in the works & invites Link to meet a long time friend, PU Diddy. Pepe & PU Diddy grew up together in Baltimore and eventually PU Diddy went off to UHK, University of Hard Knocks to study underwater basket weaving. After college, PU Diddy being unable to secure a job with his talents, becomes discouraged and decides to start promoting low level mimes. Realizing what’s missing from mimes was sound, PU Diddy decided to produce the first mime group, not using white, but using sound. The band was called “The Actors”. PU Diddy thought it would benefit The Actors to introduce instruments to become the band. This dream was smashed & promotion ended after hearing word of “The Band” who got signed and famous in the 70’s. Roaming the country aimlessly, playing on trash can lids & buckets, that’s when Pepe stepped into the picture. Pepe left him a tip of a 20 dollar bill with this little note written on the front. “I’m a drummer too, call me sometime if you wanna get somewhere in life.” After hearing Pepe play, PU Diddy realized Pepe was by far a superior drummer, and PU Diddy decided to devote all time and efforts with Pepe on managing & producing a band to stardom.
PU Diddy and Pepe invite Link to a party in Baltimore to meet a bass player PU Diddy met in college, Flora. Now Flora is originally from Bismarck, ND and has a slight drinking problem. For years, Flora was self classically trained in Electric Bass playing. Flora showed up to the party with a half bottle of vodka, bass and amp. After auditioning in front of Link & Pepe, Beethoven’s 5th Symphonthy, playing from start to finish, to perfection, Flora was accepted into the band and finally they had their missing link. Flora explained, “there is nothing to do during those long cold winters in Bismarck, ND but drink heavily and train yourself on electric bass.”
