Bio
Russian-born, singer-songwriter and pianist, at 15, Marina V won a scholarship to attend a U.S. high school in the Midwest. This whetted her appetite for more American culture and further drove her spark for creativity and for making music. At 17, she met Nick Baker who helped to guide and encourage her musical growth. In between different locations, in 2001, Marina V found her way from central Illinois to Los Angeles (with Nick) to build her music career. She has since also caught the attention of David Krebs, who is well-known manager in New York.
Marina V is heavily influenced by The Beatles. Her lyrics and music are often focused on the different aspects of relationships and life with the music soundings of a soft rock/pop artist.
She also became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2006.
