“SEE ME AS I AM”. These are the words that best describe ROB HIPNOTIK, aka Robert Clarke. “The road up until this point has been so bumpy that it seems as though I have lost just about everything except me”, say’s Rob. “ The only thing that’s left is ME, and I want people to see the reality of ME”
Music was presented to Rob Hipnotik at an early age, by his mother, herself a gifted singer in her own right. Because of his early musical endowments Rob was able to participate in various forms of the art-form throughout his younger years. Born and raised in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Compton, California, Hipnotik was able to avoid many of the inner-city’s false temptations. Not with music but with basketball. A standout player in high-school Hipnotik went on to play college ball for a year before a career ending injury ultimately sent him back home. It was shortly afterwards when Hipnotik discovered his knack for writing songs.
Rob Hipnotik possesses the uncanny ability to both write and produce his own music. He lists Andre 3000 of Outkast, NWA, and Tupac Shakur as just a few of the many artists who have influenced his musical career.
Rob Hipnotik is a very driven artist. Driven by both the love of his music as well as the need for a change-up in the rap “game”.
