Cherryvata was founded in 2003.The music played by the band can be characterised as interaction of electronic, jazz & rock elements, the musicians easily & succesfully put together electronic sounding, live instruments & vocal. This half-electronic-half-live band is considered to be one of the most extraodinary & bright one. 2004: Cherryvata is recognized as one of the most meaningful & successfull projects on the territory of Belarus, at the same time the band gets the first prize at the music contest “Muzz Drive” & releases EP “Intro Jagody” on Gizmo Lab Records. Cherryvata plays in public very often, In 2004 the band performed with about 70 concerts in nightclubs & other places. The musicians can be proud of taking part in music events, where Jimi Tenor, Banco Da Gaia, Hybrid & Bi-2, Camouflage, Luk took part either. The music of the project was included into compilations Natural Selection Volume One, Natural Selection Volume Three, Dub Around volume two, Jazzy-Funky-Bossa — Step 1, released on independent russian label Shum Records. In June 2006 the biggest belarussian recording company West Records released first album of Cherryvata “GDE!?”. Based on the sales results of multistore “Misteriya Zvuka” the album became one of the 3 nominees to the award “Independent Music – album of the year” 2 tracks of their first album got into the soundtrack to a feature film “Cruelty” (producer: Pavel Lungin, director: Marina Lubakova, starring: Renata Litvinova).
