David Lindy’s songs were written from life and heart. Songs were written over a period of time from the 1960’s to the present. There is a gumbo of feelings and culture that only living in Louisiana and Arkansas can provide. He only hopes that the window he leads you through in his music is clear enough to share his experiences. Spanish moss, deep dark waters, red clay, moonshine, trains, river roads, walking and riding Hwy 61 & 71, too young, too old, some of the things I’ve been told, mountains, clear streams, Momma’s biscuits and gravy, fishing and hunting, broken hearts, and mended souls are just a few things that go into a Gumbo of Life.
