Deep Rising is a four-man band hailing from Hauppauge, NY that formed as a recording project in 1998. They are noted for their own unique blend of musical composition and arrangements from the best of their influences. In their own words, imagine Peter Gabriel fronting The Stone Temple Pilots, or Seal fronting Alice In Chains.
They have evolved into a rock band with a progressive edge, featuring brilliant vocals, performance, and musical compositions that are visceral and evocative. Their musical influences are extremely varied, ranging from such artists as The Stone Temple Pilots, Kings X, Alice in Chains, Rush, Jane’s Addiction, Peter Gabriel, Seal, and Led Zeppelin.
Hard rockers will be fascinated by the gripping guitar work and hard-edged sound, while the Proggers will be drawn in by their vocal melodies, arrangements, and eloquent lyrics. Deep Rising creates an intensity in their live performances that can not be measured in decibels, but is simply measured by their own passion and style that emanates from the very essence of their music.
They have earned critical acclaim throughout Long Island as well as other areas of the USA, including the U.K., making a "Top 10 Albums of 2008" list in both countries. Their critical acclaim extends all across North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East, and continues to reach out across the globe with their own unique style of musical prowess, gaining an ever-growing fanbase wherever they are heard.
