Bio
Chicago-based Singer/Songwriter, Ed Gershon, caught the music wave at three years of age. "The Record, The Record- is what I used to run around saying. Music was always around. I would listen to The Beatles and James Taylor. My grandmother would play piano and my Uncle would spin me blues legends. I just got influenced by what ever music I could get my hands on. I played saxophone and clarinet prior to the guitar." Playing guitar and singing, Ed is no stranger to the stage performing at venues throughout the Chicago area (Cubby Bear, Goose Island, Tonic Room). He also traveled out for a memorable show at Arlene’s Grocery in New York City. Ed also spent four years performing acoustic sets at Potbelly Sandwich Stores around the Chicago area. Ed’s music is honest and soulful, attracting a broad audience. "Music is what I love to do- it is what I dream about. I’m grateful for the ability to share my thoughts and life with the community. Seeing someone smiling and dancing is the greatest reward- after all that’s what music is about."
