Bio

Honest Mess

Honest Mess is a three piece unit that hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia – Canada.

Put together in the fall of 2007, Honest Mess is comprised of singer song writers, Doug Taylor, Brian M. Cox and percussionist Adam Graves.

Their first album (Honest Mess/Honest Mess) is a confluence of all of their musical influences; a rich echo and original take on some of music’s most formidable acts – Neil Young, The Beatles, The Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd; all of them resonate through HM’s work, but (all) in an original manner.

HM’s first album is a tour de force of hooks, catchy pop melodies, and wistful lyric; woven together in a rich fabric of thoughtful subject matter and soundscapes.

Honest Mess’s first album is an album that you can not only listen too, but also consider – it’s not (just) “fast food", pump it out the door, music; this is one of those albums that you’ll pull out of your collection in twenty years (time) and re-discover, again; that is, if your kid hasn’t already beaten you to it.

Honest Mess is a truly unique and fresh sound.

Honest Mess/Honest Mess is an album that you will love.
