Rod’s first musical foray was as a battle emcee in high school and college under the name “Emcee Reaux.” His first almost proper ensemble was called the I.Q. Crew. Rod later got behind the turntables and has released underground cassettes under the names Matchhead, Brownsbee, Anthro-Pop, Cavebeast and Western Meds.
